My name is Parvathy.
And I'm on the Global Product Solutions Team at Google, focusing on responsibility mechanisms across our ads platforms.
Today, I am so excited to introduce our guest, Dr. Aarathi Prasad.
Dr. Aarathi was born in London and educated in the West Indies and the UK.
After completing a PhD in molecular genetics from Imperial College London, she later trained in bioarchaeology.
Dr. Prasad is an honorary research fellow at the University College London's Department of Genetics, Evolution, and Environment.
She is also the author of two other books published in the UK, and most recently, the book that we will be discussing today, "Silk-- A World History," which you should be sure to get anywhere books are sold.
