1. hail，这个单词以前你可能听说过hail a taxi/cab，可以理解成“挥手叫出租车”；此时的hail怎么理解呢？to signal to a taxi or a bus, in order to get the driver to stop

eg: Shall we hail a taxi?

但是今天视频中hail的用法明显不一样。今天视频中hail的用法类似于昨天节目中出现的applaud，英文中常说hail sb./sth. (as sth.) ，可以理解成：表示“为……喝彩；夸赞……为……；把……誉为……”这个含义；

to describe sb/sth as being very good or special, especially in newspapers, etc.

或者to say publicly how good or important something is；

eg: The conference was hailed as a great success.

这次会议被誉为一次巨大的成功。

eg: He is being hailed a hero for saving a young child from drowning.

由于救了一个年幼的溺水儿童，他被誉为英雄。

eg: The crowds hailed the boxing champion.

人们向这位拳击冠军喝彩。

eg: She's been hailed as one of the best young dancers today.

她被誉为当今最有前途的年轻舞蹈家之一。

eg: The film was hailed as a masterpiece in its day.

2. flair怎么使用呢？这个单词当名词去用，可以理解成：natural ability to do something well

“某个人的天赋、天资”；此时它是一个可数名词；

eg: He has a flair for languages.

他具有语言天赋。

eg: Our youngest son has a flair for drawing. 

我们最小的儿子有画画天分。
