After literal years of rumors, Nintendo has finally announced the successor to the Switch, officially titled the Nintendo Switch 2.
Here is everything you need to know about the new console handheld hybrid.
The Switch 2 is bigger, with a larger screen, and while the brief reveal trailer doesn't give hardware specs, many leaks have mentioned that the new screen will measure around 8 inches in size.

There is a second USB-C port on top this time, not just on the bottom for charging.
This functionality also remains unclear.
The first Switch didn't allow for display out without some kind of dock or dongle.
Here's hoping one of these ports will allow for that, much like how the Steam Deck can.
The new console has moved away from the dual-colored controllers for a more unified black or dark grey look across the new Joy-Cons, other than some accent details around the joysticks and inside the Joy-Con docking mechanism.
I actually think this is a bit unfortunate, since matching your own color combinations on the first Switch was so fun.
